Starting a brand over

When this is the right thing

You signed up, poked around for a week, answered the interview half-seriously, and now you want to use it properly. The problem isn't one draft — it's that the brand voice came from those answers and everything since has been built on it.

Settings → Brand → Start this brand over clears the content and the learning, keeps the account, and takes you back through setup.

It's owner-only, it takes effect immediately, and it can't be undone. Export first if there's anything you want to keep — the button is right there in the panel.

What goes

  • Chats, and the projects and reference material in them
  • Stash notes the team could see, and their images
  • Drafts and scheduled posts
  • The media library
  • Your brand voice document, brand context and content seeds
  • The competitor, niche and own-content analyses
  • Auto calendar run history

What stays

  • Published posts. A record of what actually went out. Deleting the record wouldn't unpublish anything, so there's no reason to.
  • Your subscription and connected accounts. This is the whole point — you don't lose them the way you would by deleting the brand.
  • Your team and their roles.
  • Your link-in-bio page and its subscribers. It's public, and those are real people's email addresses.
  • Your auto calendar schedule and content mix. Configuration, like your connections. Only the run history goes.
  • Your teammates' private work. Their private stash notes, and any chat or project they never shared, are theirs — a reset doesn't touch them.

One consequence of that last one: if a teammate set up your auto calendar, the private notes they kept can still feed it after a reset. Only they can clear those.

What happens next

You land back at the start of setup. Until you finish it, the brand has no voice document — so the weekly auto calendar quietly skips it rather than writing a week of content in a voice that isn't yours yet, and the monthly analysis refresh waits too. Nothing else changes: you can still publish, and your team can still use the app.

If you stop halfway, nothing is broken. Pick setup up again whenever you like.

Reset, Retrain and Redo interview

Three things with similar names doing different jobs:

  • Retrain rebuilds your voice document from the inputs you've already given. Nothing is deleted.
  • Redo interview asks the interview questions again. Nothing is deleted, and your current voice document stays in use until you finish the new one.
  • Start this brand over is the only one that clears anything.
